BRGC is currently accepting applications from members in good standing, immediate family and youth members between the age of 11-14 for two one-week camper sponsorship to a DEC Environmental Education Camps. DEC camps are one of the best kept secrets in the state!
The DEC camp program includes a variety of workshops and activities that help campers become more aware of the environment around them and learn how to be good stewards of our natural resources. Activities and workshops are conducted outdoors, providing campers with direct hand-on experiences with their environment.
NYSDEC has four residential youth summer camps:
• Camp Colby- located on western shore of Lake Colby (Franklin County)
• Pack Forest- located in southern Adirondacks north of Warrensburg.
• Camp DeBruce- located in the southern Catskill near Livingston Manner.
• Camp Rushford- located in the Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area (Allegany County)
Camps starts first week in July and run through second full week of August.

Pheasant Preserve Open
The pheasant preserve is open. The final bird release of the season will be done on 12/31/2011. Remember, no hunting before 9:00 AM, all hunters must sign in and out, all hunters must wear blaze orange, no discharging a firearm with in 500 ft of a dwelling, no hunting in standing corn or on the Christmas tree farm.

Trap Range Update
